Mexican closer Joakim Soria says goodbye to a brilliant career in the Major Leagues

The Mexican right-hander Joakim Soria prepares the end of his career in which he has established himself as one of the best closers of the Major Leagues .

The withdrawal of the born player makes 37 years in Monclova has been announced by his agent, Oscar Suárez.

Soria, who has played 17 seasons in the MLB, has worked most of the Kansas City Royals , who signed him from the San Diego Padres.

His 229 Lifetime rescues, 162 went with the Royals . Soria was not part of the Kansas City team that won the World Series in the 2015.

Soria traded to the Royals in 2013 by the Texas Rangers, then followed by the Detroit Tigers and the Pittsburgh Pirates, but came back with in 2016 with the Kansas City team.

The Mexican achieved 17 bailouts in his rookie campaign in 1200, and in the next one he established himself as one of the most feared closers of the Seniors.

Soria was called up to his first Game of Stars in that 2008 , campaign in which he added 42 saves and left ERA of 1. 60. Two years later, he was selected for his second Mid-Season Classic and ended with 43 career-best saves.

Last season, Soria signed with the Diamondbacks of Arizona and then traded to the Toronto Blue Jays at the trade deadline, he also pitched for the Oakland Athletics, Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers.

Before retiring, ranked fifth in saves among active pitchers and fourth place in matches ended with 427.
