A Utah man was arrested for firing a gun at his father after came home with the wrong order of chicken wings , according to authorities.
Alika Unga Suliafu, from 31 years , began an argument with his father when he returned to his Davis County apartment with a batch of wings that he did not like, according to court documents obtained by Fox 13.
The discussion between father and son, occurred on 21, escalated until Suliafu pulled a gun from another room and pointed it directly at his father, who begged him not to shoot, according to the investigators of the case.
Just as Suliafu fired, his father ducked and the bullet went through a wall and into a neighbor’s apartment, where he stayed in u A dishwasher.
After the first shot, Suliafu’s father pounced on his son and tried to snatch the gun from him, investigators said.
As they fought, Suliafu fired two more shots at the ceiling, which lodged in the basement of the apartment above them.
The father was able to remove the magazine from the pistol as they continued to struggle before police arrived on the scene, where they found the father with injuries that matched his description of the Facts.
Suliafu punched his father on the back of the neck as he fled.
The arrest documents state that when the police arrived, Suliafu had already fled the scene. He was later located and arrested.
Suliafu is being held without bail on charges of attempted murder and criminal discharge of a firearm.
Court documents indicate that he has a history of mental illness and posed an unreasonable danger to the community.
