The councilor of the town of Rosario de Lerma, in Argentina, Griselda Galleguillos, became the center of controversy in the networks social media after broadcasting an electoral spot. It is not just any campaign, but one where dresses like a doll of “The Squid Game”, the popular Korean series hit on Netflix and calls to eliminate its adversaries.
To record the images and recreate the episode, according to the newspaper El Clarín , Galleguillos wore an orange and yellow dress and shoes with long stockings, as worn by the doll in the series .
In addition, she was accompanied by another person who pretends to be one of the custodians of the plot, who was dressed in a red suit, a mask with a triangle on the forehead and a long weapon.
In the video, Gallegu illos tried to show off his musical talents and to the rhythm of cumbia, he sang and danced while asking voters to “eliminate” politicians who did not guarantee supply and work.
“We will vote, the yellow one wins. We will vote for the yellow one ”, he repeats over and over to the rhythm of a cumbia while emulating the warning of the doll from the series.
Driving the phrase “Eliminate them”, the policy says: “If you do not want (you want) to continue having the refrigerator empty, eliminate them. If you don’t want to leave the country because you don’t have a job, eliminate them. If you don’t want them to keep stealing from you, eliminate them ”, repeats Galleguillos to the rhythm of cumbia.
In the Korean series, the doll has sensors in its eyes with which it registers the slightest movement of the participants of a game. Those who fail and move are killed with firearms.
With less than a week to go before the elections of the 14 November, the candidates and referents of the different political forces work in the final stretch towards the elections with accusations and crossed statements, for which different analysts have criticized the dirty war that is being lived, regardless of the use of controversial language or symbols.
