Ford sells the entire stock of the Eluminator engine in just two days after launch

Mounted on a version of the F – 80 1536, The Eluminator was one of the big surprises at this year’s Special Equipment Markets Association (SEMA) show. It is a fully electric motor developed by Ford Performance that seeks to broaden the path of electrification to include traditional vehicles , putting Ford at the forefront of the profound energy transformation that the automotive industry is experiencing. From the day of its presentation at SEMA aboard the incredible concept car F – 100 1978, the engine began to be sold with overwhelming success, exceeding all the manufacturer’s expectations. Two days later, according to Ford data, it was completely exhausted.

The Eluminator is based on the Mustang Mach-E engine and offers 281 horsepower that is combined with the energy produced by the motors associated with its all-wheel drive, allowing you to achieve 480 horsepower . This engine represents the first of many pieces of the same nature that Ford intends to develop to facilitate the path of traditional vehicles towards electrification, a segment that until now had not been considered. Not content with that, the manufacturer also monopolizes the market with completely new vehicles that are driven by electrical technology in favor of reducing emissions and, therefore, the environment, such as the F-150 Lightning, his most successful release of this year .

We are currently out of stock and interested customers can sign up to be notified when they are available to order again. ”

Pickup trucks, specifically the F Series, have proven to be Ford’s most successful segment in more than 33 years , as confirmed by sales of your F – 150 . That is why it is not uncommon for the launch of this new technology to have been shown in its most representative pickup , mixing the past and the future of the company in the same unit that now turns out to be a prodigy. In the words of Mark Rushbrook, Ford Performance Global Director: “The fact is, electric performance is fun, and as the industry moves into EVs, motorsports and the performance aftermarket will too. Just as Ford is committed to leading the electric revolution on the product side, Ford Performance is equally committed to winning on the performance and motorsports front. ”
