VIDEO: Yalitza Aparicio now teaches mental and emotional health classes

The Mexican actress Yalitza Aparicio , who is known for her performance in Alfonso Cuarón’s film “Roma” , uploaded a video to social networks where she debunked the myths that exist regarding mental and emotional health .

Through a Youtube video of around 25 minutes, the Oaxacan actress of 27 years broke in silence on this topic and recounted the process she has gone through being a famous indigenous woman in Hollywood.

In turn, she explained that long ago she questioned a lot about her skin color, since she was singled out for this. She even mentioned that she was accused and many wanted to prevent her from doing certain things due to her origins.

“At first, I kind of stopped too long because of what people said. Like this starting to listen to everyone … there were already hundreds of people who were talking about me “ , said the actress , who stated that it was very difficult for her to try to do “the right thing” to make people happy.

For this reason, Yalitza confessed that she stopped following people’s comments and began to be guided by what made her feel good and happy, since this is the healthiest thing to do.

On the other hand, the “Roma” actress spoke about the criticism she has received since her film debut and mentioned that she never felt comfortable responding to the accusations, since her way of thinking did not allow it.

“Many people told me why not do you defend yourself? Why don’t you answer ?, but my way of thinking was like… well, I don’t know his situation and I don’t know why he is expressing himself that way ” , added Yalitza, who said that she has always respected the opinion of others, even if they are bad comments.

In addition, the Oaxacan addressed other interesting aspects about mental and emotional health, as he reminded his followers that it is very important to go to the psychologist, because we all need therapy.
