The US offers rewards for 4 Mexican drug lords, including the brother of “El Chapo” Guzmán

The State Department announced rewards of up to $ 5 million on Friday dollars each for information leading to the arrest or conviction of four high-ranking members of the Sinaloa Cartel who They operate in the Mexican states of Chihuahua and Sinaloa.
Aureliano “El Guano” Guzmán -Loera , brother of the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán-Loera , and the brothers Ruperto Salgueiro-Nevarez , José Salgueiro-Nevarez and Heriberto Salgueiro-Nevarez , which allegedly operate a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel known as SNO, which stands for the Salgueiro-Nevarez Organization, under the Sinaloa Cartel federation.
Aureliano Guzman-Loera and the Salgueiro-Nevarez brothers are accused in the United States of violating the country’s drug laws , which include international conspiracies to distribute marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl.
According to the Mexican authorities, Aureliano is three years older than “El Chapo” and although he has been an active member of the Sinaloa cartel , rose to leadership of the cartel after extradition of “El Chapo”
One of the accusations alleges fentanyl trafficking , responsible for more than 63 % of the 96, 779 deaths by drug overdoses in the United States recorded between e March of 2020 and 7315.
An accusation is simply a method by which a person is charged with criminal activity and does not generate an inference of guilt. A person is presumed innocent until evidence is presented to a jury establishing guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
Security Investigations National (HSI) is conducting the investigation in this case. The Arizona District Attorney’s Office in Tucson is in charge of the prosecution.
Together, these actions are part of a government-wide effort to combat drug trafficking and transnational organized crime globally and in Mexico.
