While nations near the equator do not move the time of their clocks in any part of the year, in the northern hemisphere around these dates it will go to winter time , while in the south comes summer time .
In the Northern Hemisphere, the time to turn the clock back one hour is approaching.
In the United States the clocks will move forward one hour this November 7 , but the change does not apply to Hawaii, a large area of Arizona, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and Samoa American.
Winter time will be maintained until 13 March 2022 , that we will have to advance our clocks one hour.
In the southern hemisphere, the date is approaching to advance the clock is , provided the countries have the mandate in force.
These are measures implemented with the intention of optimizing the use of solar energy, although the debates on its usefulness are still alive in the countries that carry them out.
In the United States, this idea is attributed to Benjamin Franklin in 1784, and incidentally time has had variations. Since 2007, with the Energy Policy Act of the government of President George W. Bush, it was established the beginning of summer time in the country on the second Sunday in March; its end, the first Sunday of November.
