UEFA opens the bidding process to organize Euro 2028

The countdown has started for the election of the venue for the Eurocup 2028 and UEFA announced to all its member federations interested in organizing the tournament, that they will have a deadline to present their project until March of 2022 and the appointment of the final venue will be in September 2023.

The candidacy for the Euro 2028 must have 10 stadiums with some conditions, taking into account that they must have a stadium with a minimum capacity of 60, 000 seats; two stadiums with at least 50, 000 seats; four stages with 40, 000 seats and at least three states with a capacity close to 30, 000 seats.

UEFA in its statement indicated that the next venue will have a classified selection, if the organized country does not go jointly and if they go in this way, there will be two teams qualified immediately.

The Euro 2024 is already headquartered and has advanced planning

Germany will be the country that organizes the next European national team tournament, after being chosen in 2018 above Turkey , with 12 votes in favor for the Teutons and 4 for the Turks.

The Euro 2024 has 10 venues to host the tournament with Berlin, Munich, Dortmund, Gelsenkirchen, Frankfurt, Liepzig, Hamburg, Cologne, Sttutgart and Düsseldorf.

These cities have the stadiums of the World Cup Germany 2006, except the city of Düsseldorf who will have the opportunity to be a venue that will debut in the international context of selections.
