While to enter the United States from any international destination it is mandatory to present a COVID test – 19 negative , for most domestic trips the security measures have been withdrawn, although some entities and cities maintain certain requirements.
COVID Requirements – 19 for international travel to the United States
From 26 of January of 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) require that all air passengers age two and older enter the United States United to submit a COVID-proof test 19 negative .
This requirement covers all air passengers, whether foreign visitors, as well as US citizens and legal permanent residents, regardless of their vaccination status or antibodies.
The test must have been applied within the three days prior to the flight departure and the CDC supports both antigen tests and nucleic acid amplification tests (PCR, the most common) performed by an accredited laboratory.
Another alternative is to submit a test for virus recovery within the last 90 days.
Passengers whose documents are in a language other than English should check with their airline before traveling.
Airlines must confirm the result negative result of the test or the recent recovery test of all passengers before boarding the plane and denying the boarding to those who do not present this documentation .

Hawaii
– People who are not fully vaccinated still need a COVID test- 19 refusal to enter.
– When the rest of the states reach a vaccination rate of 70%, all travel restrictions will be removed.
Idaho
– No travel restrictions.
Illinois
– No restrictions for travel in the state, except the city of Chicago.
– In Chicago, unvaccinated travelers must be tested for COVID – 19 before and after the trip and self-quarantine upon arrival in Chicago, if they come from a state with a significant infection rate, according to the Travel Advisory issued by the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Kentucky
– Leisure travel is discouraged unless fully vaccinated, but without official travel restrictions.
Louisiana

– New Orleans – Recently issued a blanket mandate requiring proof of vaccination (or recent Covid proof – 19 negative) to enter closed high-risk establishments, including restaurants, bars, gyms, casinos, concerts and stadiums.
Maine
– From May 1 I, travelers from all states will be able to travel to Maine without providing a negative COVID test result – 19 or quarantine na, unless the Maine CDC determines otherwise.
