“We are under fire, we need support”, were the words that Mexican police officers shouted during an ambush by drug trafficking groups in the municipality of Uruapan in the state of Michoacán in Mexico.
While the agents who were attacked presumably on the Lombardia – Uruapan highway, various bullet detonations were heard.
“No go to lead, they are pulling from here to the hill and up, “said the policeman as they covered themselves with the shots of the criminal group that attacked them.
CJNG maintains battle against United Cartels
The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG ) in the service of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes alias El Mencho , the Lord of the Roosters or the Gallero fights a battle with United Cartels (CU) in that area where weeks of intense fighting have been reported.
Both criminal groups are accused of being behind extortion, assassinations and attacks on the authorities, and although a greater presence of the Mexican army, insecurity does not give truce and even dozens of families have had to abandon their homes.
