A shooting left a man dead and four other people injured involved in an accident between several cars on Monday night in the town of El Monte , in Los Angeles County.
The Fire Department Los Angeles County reported that the incident happened shortly after 7: 30 pm on the block 2600 of Mountain View Road .
Initial investigations did not make it clear if the shooting occurred earlier or after the collision between the vehicles .
The man who was driving one of the cars was found dead by the emergency services that came to the scene of the incident.
Two people were seriously injured , while the other two individuals had l minor injuries.
The injured persons and the deceased were not identified by the authorities.
The accident involved at least two cars and investigators were recovering evidence at the site.
Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Marshals were collaborating in investigations with El Monte police officers.
