This weekend, Telemundo had a triple premiere on Sunday 12 of September. The Hispanic network hosted the first gala of “ Así Se Baila ” with the Turkish soap opera “Una Casa Para Azul” and the gossip show “El Colador” .
The dance reality show is packed with stars and a luxury jury that includes Adamari López , Christian de la Fuente and Mariana Seoane . However, the first gala could not overcome the Univision program, Who Is La Máscara?
The two programs compete for you on Sundays and have the same duration at two hour air. While the premiere of “Así Se Baila” averaged 1 million total viewers, Univision’s “Who Is La Máscara” reached 1.2 million.
In the adult demo between 18 and 49 year-old dance program returned to lose by marking 373 thousand versus 454 thousand from the botargas show.
Telemundo is already preparing its second gala where will include to a new dance partner and will announce the public vote to begin the eliminations.
The other Telemundo premieres did not make much of an impact either. “A House for Blue” began with 876 thousand in total and 263 thousand in the demo. “El Colador”, which serves as after show of “Así Se Baila” debuted with 783 thousand in total and 269 thousand in the demo. Both Telemundo programs beat Univision in total audience, but not the most important segment for advertisers.
