A man who worked as polling station officer during the California recall election was fired after he appeared at a West Hollywood , in Los Angeles, wearing clothes in favor of Donald Trump .

The photo of the individual was captured Monday at the Plummer Park voting center in the city Angelina from West Hollywood and went viral on social media during this 14 September , the day in which Californians came out to vote to decide whether the governor Gavin Newsom remains in power or if must be removed.

The Los Angeles County Vital Records Office stated that the man, who was wearing a shirt and a hat referring to Trump , he was contacted to inform him that his clothing was not acceptable in the workplace.

“The election worker was contacted and advised that his clothing was inappropriate and unacceptable,” the Civil Registry said Tuesday in a message to a Twitter user. “Based on his response and on reports that other workers had spoken with him, he was discharged and no longer works at the voting center” .

The election was held this Tuesday without major incidents. Registered voters had to vote Yes or No to the revocation of Newsom, who on Monday closed his campaign accompanied by President Joe Biden . Those who voted for Yes, then had to indicate on the ballot who of the candidates should replace him as governor.

However, Polls and experts’ estimation outlined the Governor Newsom out of danger. His greatest adversary, Larry Elder, falsely accused that the election might be corrupt , in a possible symptom of defeat similar to what Donald Trump did last year after losing to Joe Biden in the presidential elections.

Unknown whether the election results would be released on the same Tuesday night or whether it would take days or weeks to be known.
