3.6-magnitude earthquake shakes Thousand Oaks, California area

A 3.6-degree earthquake shook the Thousand Oaks area this Monday morning, the United States Geological Survey reported.

The earthquake occurred in Ventura County minutes before 8 a.m., at a depth of just over a mile.

The epicenter was located 5.5 miles northwest of Thousand Oaks , 4.1 miles south southwest of Moorpark and 7.6 miles west of Simi Valley.

So far no damage or injuries have been reported from the earthquake.

On social media, residents of Sherman Oaks, Encino, Santa Clarita, Los Angeles, Inglewood, Long Beach and Santa Monica reported feeling the shaking.
