3.6-magnitude earthquake shakes Thousand Oaks area

A 3.6-degree earthquake shook the Thousand Oaks area this Monday morning , reported the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake occurred in Ventura County minutes before 8 a.m., at a depth of just over a mile.

The epicenter was located 5.5 miles northwest of Thousand Oaks, 4.1 miles south southwest of Moorpark, and 7.6 miles west of Simi Valley.

Until now no damage or injuries were reported to cau sa of the earthquake .

On social media, residents of Sherman Oaks, Encino, Santa Clarita, Los Angeles, Inglewood, Long Beach, and Santa Monica reported feeling the shaking.
