Police kill man who shot at school bus in Orange County

A gunman, suspected of shooting a school bus, died after participating in a chase with officers , reported Buena Park Police in Orange County.

At approximately 2 pm on Friday , a patrolling Buena Park Police Department officer observed an individual shooting a school bus nearby from the intersection of Orangethorpe and Western.

Apparently, according to the police, at the time of the shooting aboard the truck were only the driver and a student . There was no report of injuries.

When the officer tried to make the arrest, The individual escaped in a vehicle, for which he was pursued in nearby streets by several police units.

When he was circulating around the District building Buena Park School, the suspect collided with another car, at which point the officers told him to surrender and to drop the gun.

As the man ignored the orders of the policemen, two officers opened fire on the suspect .

The man, whose identity not yet known, he was pronounced dead at the scene, while the police recovered a firearm.

At the moment, the au torities are not sure if the attacker previously knew the school bus driver or if it was an incident related to an automobile incident.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is conducting investigations into the case.
