Federal authorities found 327 migrants crammed into a warehouse in Mexico

Federal agents of the National Institute of Migration of Mexico (INM) and other security forces rescued in a warehouse in Cadereyta, to 30 kilometers north of Monterrey. Among the undocumented were 120 minors in extreme conditions.

The authorities made the fact known through a statement published on the official website of the Government of Mexico. In an operation carried out between the Municipal Police, the Civil Force and the National Guard they found the warehouse while investigating a case of a deceased patient who, allegedly, received visits from migrants at his home.

On Tuesday afternoon, the agents arrived at the scene to carry out the inspection of the house and found these undocumented people crowded in the compound. Later, the officers notified the INM about the discovery .

The Mexican government entity published a video on its official Twitter account in which the large number of of rescued people.

The INM reported that same day on an increase in minors in the migratory flow of the Central American nation. Compared to in the previous year they barely counted 11, 703 accompanied and unaccompanied children who crossed Mexico, which is equivalent to an increase of 120, 17%.

According to the migrants consulted by the INM, this massive flow is due to the change in the Migration Law in Mexico that establishes not to accommodate minors, or their companions , in immigration stations or temporary stays.
