The fight for control between drug traffickers of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel ( CJNG ) and the Sinaloa Cartel (CDS) has converted the town of Sarabia in the municipality of Jerez, in Zacatecas, to nothing of being a ghost town.
According to journalistic investigations, in the region there are only 10 of the 100 families that inhabited Sarabia, so the next 30 August when Mexicans are scheduled to return to the schools, there will not be it, since there are no teachers or students to open the Lázaro Cárdenas school.

And it is that most of the inhabitants left their furnished houses since they only took what was necessary before the wave of violence and kidnappings that was registered in the area by both criminal groups. “I am more afraid of the cartels than of the covid,” said one of the displaced.
That is not the only place affected because even the clashes that have been registered in the limits between the states of Jalisco and Zacatecas have caused the displacement of at least 700 people who make up 200 families , for which residents of the Huejotitlán community in Jalisco demonstrated to demand that surveillance be strengthened in the area.
Last May they denounced that about a hundred families were welcomed into the parish while the other hundred have settled with the inhabitants of Mechoacanejo who have opened the doors of their houses.
The communities that since then seem like ghost towns are El Saucito , Ranch Santo , Ran cho Major , Aquatint and The Pocitos , detailed the parish priest of the community.
