The Disney Cruise Line company announced that as of September 3, all passengers over 12 years who want to travel to the Bahamas are required to be vaccinated against Covid- 19 with the full dose of the vaccine.

While less than 12 years must have a negative Covid test – 19 with a maximum of 5 days before boarding.

The Disney ship going to the Bahamas is called “Disney Dream” and sail from Port Canaveral in Florida , with a trip plan of 3 to 4 nights.

This new travel policy has been taken due to the regulations taken by the Bahamas government and other regulations on vaccination that have already been imposed other cruise companies.

The Bahamas government will not allow any cruise ship to arrive at its ports since September if their passengers are not vaccinated.

In the Caribbean there are several countries that have imposed regulations regarding shipping companies and their vacationers . Mainly now that the Delta variant of Covid – 19 has a more aggressive spread, so since August places like Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands do not allow any unvaccinated passenger to disembark from cruise ships to their territories as tourists usually do.

For its part, Disney reported that a passenger who is not vaccinated, with the full doses, will not even be able to board their ships.

In the United States, many cruise companies that sail from Florida when they scheduled their departure calendars for this 2021, a year and a half after the pan demia, even made test trips to evaluate the security protocols against COVID – 19 to present it to the Centers for the Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

It should be noted that the CDC and some local governments had to meet in court to determine if It would be valid for the shipping companies to require the vaccination of their passengers and “staff” as mandatory.

In June, a federal judge decided that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will no longer be able to enforce the rules that imply conditions for navigation related to COVID – 19 . Measures that kept the cruise industry anchored for months.

In the same sense, the Walt Disney World company in Florida agreed with its union of employees of its thematic workers, that all workers must be fully vaccinated as of 22 October, otherwise they could be fired from their jobs.

At the beginning of August, the third largest cruise company, Norwegian (NCL), celebrated the start of its voyages departing from an American port. And he celebrated it as they wanted with all his crew and passengers fully vaccinated . While in Florida the fight for vaccine passports continues in a legal battle.
