Eight alleged members of a criminal cell of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel ( CJNG ) , seven of them from Honduras were detained in the municipality of Coatzacoalcos in the state of Veracruz in Mexico .
Subjects were placed in disposition of the authorities for alleged outrages to the authority , extortion and illegal possession of firearms, by elements of the Ministry of Public Security.

The accused were identified as Luis “N”, Kendan “N”, Luis Alberto “N”, Sergio “N”, Junior José “N”, Nilson Osman “N”, Juan Carlos “N” and César Oswaldo “N” , seven of they are Hondurans .
The arrest of these alleged members of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel occurred when police officers state were alerted via the emergency line 911 about a case of extortion on the Trans-isthmian highway , in the Electricista neighborhood.
When they went to the place where the complaint was reported, they identified the reported vehicle with several men on board, so the policemen marked them n the stop but when descending from the unit, the people tried to attack the officers with knives but fortunately they did not manage to injure any of the officers.
In the search of belongings they found firearms, Molotov cocktails and cardboard with messages alluding to organized crime, for which the police proceeded to secure the individuals, the weapons and the vehicle unit so that they could be made available to the corresponding authority.
It transpired that it was the detainees themselves who said that they were recruited by members of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel to operate in that municipality.
