The agents of the Special Police Operations Group carried out an aerial inspection in the conflict zone in the rural area of Reynosa.

With a helicopter and telescopic sights, they detected the five all-terrain vehicles and observed that it was one of the properties uninhabited by their owners, so who decided to guide the vehicular convoy to the place.

“Upon arrival of the state police and the members of the Special Police Operations Group they found a brown Jeep Cherokee, a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee, a white Chevrolet Avalanche pickup, a white cargo Nissan and a sand colored Chevrolet Suburban pickup ”, stated the Secretariat.

The drug war of organized crime has driven the rural population to the city since April 2017, after the regional leader of the Gulf Cartel (CDG), Juan Manuel Loza Salinas, alias Comandante Toro , was killed.

The death of the last regional leader of the Gulf Cartel generated an internal division in the criminal group that led to cells known as the Dragons, Cyclones, Metros and Scorpions that dispute the territory between Matamoros, Río Bravo, Valle Hermoso, Reynosa and Méndez.

The drug war between these cells caused an exodus in rural areas, since criminal gangs invaded ranches, dispossessed residents, and used the r widths.
