Six members of a Florida church die from coronavirus in 10 days: their pastor asked to be vaccinated

The coronavirus pandemic continues to stalk Florida, which has become the epicenter of the health crisis in the United States. In the state of the Sun a very high rate of positivity and hospitalizations continues to be recorded, even higher than at the peak of the pandemic last year, when there was still no vaccine.

Despite the fact that the health authorities are urgently asking the population to be vaccinated to put an end to this situation, many continue to ignore the recommendations of the experts. This is the case of a church in Jacksonville, north of Miami, where the parishioners are devastated by the death of some of their companions.

As confirmed Impact Church through a statement that six of its members have died in less than two weeks. The pastor pointed out that all were healthy but they were not vaccinated.

The most worrying thing is that four of them had less than 35 years. “ A mother, who just got married recently, was going to celebrate her first wedding anniversary. She had a little daughter and now that you see that she is gone, you realize that this was avoidable, ”said the Rev. George Davis.

“It has definitely taken its toll on us. Some of them have been very close to us and some of these people were in the best moment of their lives ”, the man said in statements to local media.

As a result of these deaths, the church plans to hold its second vaccination event on Sunday . The church held its first vaccination event in March and at that time 800 people received a first dose.
