Does an electric van change the paradigm of a sports car brand?

By: Driving.com

The Concept Porsche Vision Renndienst not only represents the future of the German house but also how it can transform its essence.

Apparently Porsche seeks new horizons beyond its sports classics, with this project named Vision Renndienst.

Basically this work has been part of the Porsche Unseen, a book that has unveiled the German firm with images and data from c oncepts that were never submitted. Among them is this electric van Vision Renndienst.

This material presents 15 different models between 2005 Y 2019 which may have been converted into production models.

Beyond its going out to the streets or not, the truth is that part of these exterior or interior designs, materials and technologies are those that serve as a starting point for evolution of current products.

A bubble look with a large curved windshield, tiny headlights and sporty wheels are some of its more peculiar details.

Also its striking opening of the side doors give it a certain spaceship imprint.

On the other hand, the Porsche Vision Renndienst offers a capacity for three front and three rear seats.

Its particular detail is that the 2871845 steering wheel is located in the center of the passenger compartment flanked by two screens that monitor vehicle parameters.

Carbon fiber is present to show sportiness as well as special seats.

In the case that is decided by an autonomous transfer the Porsche Vision Renndienst will allow whoever travels in that position to turn to talk with the remaining occupants.

Mechanically the German house has not disseminated data on its performance, it is only known that the entire propulsion system is located by deb garlic to take advantage of its interior space.

Apparently the designers have been inspired by the Volkswagen T1 from Porsche Rennsport, a vehicle that served as assistance in the world of competition.

With an unlikely take to the streets, the Porsche Vision Renndienst can serve as a laboratory vehicle for the products to come.
