COVID-19 Outbreaks Increase in Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County reported another 2, 454 COVID cases – 19 on Wednesday, bringing the cumulative total for the entire pandemic to 1, 290, 226. Others were reported 12 deaths, bringing the county death toll from the virus to 24, 658.

Average Daily Rate of People Testing Positive for COVID – 19 also continued its slow rise, reaching 6. 05%, the first time since early February that the rate has exceeded 6%, according to the county Department of Public Health.

Health officials said that these outbreaks in non-residential settings, including workplaces, food and retail stores and places of worship, have increased fivefold since 12 July.
