A total of 6 planets will be retrograde during August of 2021 . These are Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, Uranus and the asteroid Chiron, all of them will have gradual effects on our emotions, astrologers have said.
Astrologically, each planet has its own personality and governs different aspects of our behavior. As they move through the Zodiac, their energy impacts a certain plane of reality.
When they are retrograde (optical effect in which it seems that they change their orbit and go back in their own planetary axis) double potentiate these energies , which is why some cause confusion and chaos, such as the famous Mercury retrograde .
But not all planets have such shocking effects. Those that will be in retrograde during August are considered “outer planets” because their journey through the zodiac is slower. And although its effects are subtle as they are further away from the sun, it does not mean that they stop impacting our lives.
The 6 retrograde planets of August and their effects
Jupiter started retrograde on 20 July and will finish this process until 18 October . Its effects are felt within us. Elite Daily explains that when the giant of the Solar System goes backwards, it is the right time to reconnect with our own capacities and be spontaneous.
Saturn is doing the same . The ringed planet will be receding until 10 October. It governs maturity, hard work and discipline, when it is retrograde it relaxes these qualities, which means it is a time to take it easy.
For its part, Neptune, the planet of spirituality, began its journey in reverse on 25 of June. The energies of the nebulous star call us to be fantasy and dreamy, but in these retrograde moments, it brings us down to reality. These effects will be valid until December 1.
From 27 to October 6 we will feel the effects of Pluto’s retrograde travel . Astrologically it is the planet of transformation and generally invites us to evolve. But when it is backwards, it forces us to let go of what no longer works in our lives.
Uranus will also act in the opposite direction . Its rollback will begin on 19 August and will culminate until 18 of January of 2022. This planet is one of rebellions and sudden changes, so its retrograde effects evoke a change within us.
Finally, Chiron maintains its retrograde transit in August . The asteroid represents our deepest fears, and its impact during its reverse journey encourages us to face our vulnerabilities with strength.
