Borja Voces confirms that it is positive for COVID – 19: “If I had not been vaccinated I do not know where I would be” … Through his Instagram account, the journalist himself wanted to share with the public how he is going through the disease.
Almost at the end of ‘Digital Edition’ of Univision News , where we see him driving from Monday to Friday with Carolina Sarassa, the beloved Spanish journalist uploaded a video to their social networks to explain why not only are we not seeing it today, but we will not see it for a couple of weeks, neither at noon, nor in ‘First Impact’ : tested positive for the virus .
Borja, who was driving part of ‘Premios Juventud’ Thursday, he would have been infected last week. However, last weekend the test just gave him a positive test, the same one that was done when he began to feel some unusual discomforts.
Discomfort and symptoms that he assures in the video, are nothing compared to all the stories that he has had to report in this year and a half since the pandemic began . Why? Because in March the two doses of the vaccine against the virus were given.
“ Following the honesty and transparency that I have always wanted to carry throughout my career , I want to share with you that the reason why I will be absent this week so much in the ‘Digital Edition’, as in ‘First Impact’, is that, despite having the two doses of the vaccine since March, I have tested positive for COVID – 19 “, began by saying Borja from his department in the city of Miami where he resides.
“What most I greatly appreciate at this time is having been vaccinated, look at me, the symptoms are really almost nil, I feel very good , and the most important thing for me and my family, is that I feel protected “, he continued saying and really, although his voice is taken, he looks very good .
In the video that lasted less than 2 minutes away, Voces wanted to be clear about one of the reasons why today he is possibly suffering from having the virus:
“That’s why I want to take advantage, from my experience, to encourage them to get vaccinated, I really don’t want to imagine how I would be now if I hadn’t done it … As much as we want, the pandemic is not over yet, and we have to be very aware that until we get the 70% of the population is vaccinated we will not be able to begin to relax “.
Finally, Borja, who had planned to travel to his native Spain to celebrate his birthday, this next August 2 along with his family, concluded with the following:
“ I really appreciate your good wishes, take good care of yourselves, take care of your family and get vaccinated … I hope to meet again very soon or with you through Univision, and of course we are still connected here, through social networks. A big hug to everyone. ”
