MLB expels fan who attacked Mexican Yankees outfielder Alex Verdugo for life

The fan who threw a ball to the Mexican outfielder of the New York Yankees , Alex Verdugo , during this Saturday’s game against the Boston Red Sox was suspended for life in all stadiums of the Major League Baseball .

As stated by team spokesmen, the aggressor will not be able to enter any of the scenarios in which the matches of the MLB.

In a statement the Yankees stated: “While the Yankees appreciate the spirit and passion of our fans in our various rivalries, especially with the R Sox ojas, reckless, disorderly and dangerous behavior that endangers the safety of players , field staff or other fans will not be tolerated. ”

The event occurred before the match was suspended by rain. Alex threw the ball to a fan in the stands, but it was caught by another man who returned it to the field and hit the outfielder from behind.

Although the fan was not arrested by the authorities, security took him out of the stadium. Then he was notified that he could not attend any more games.

“There is absolutely no place for it at Yankee Stadium . The safety of everyone at Yankee Stadium, including guests in the stands and players on the field, will always be the top priority for the Yankees organization every time we open our doors, ”said the team in the letter.
