The Mexican team won Group A with seven points: four goals in favor and no goals against. Had they beaten Trinidad and Tobago they would have completed a perfect group stage.

The Savior also qualified for the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup 2021, with six units. Trinidad and Tobago and Guatemala were eliminated from the competition.

Mexico will meet its rival in quarterfinals this Monday. They will face the second place in group D: it could be Honduras, Qatar or Panama.
