Two positive cases of Covid – 19 were detected this purpose week at the Olympic Village of the Tokyo Games 2020 , as assured by the event organizers just five days after the opening.
For confidentiality reasons, no details were provided on the nationality of the athletes, however , it was ensured that they were not Japanese, and that tested positive in the period of 14 days after entering the Asian country.

Although the authorities did not report it, the South African Association de Fútbol , who is rival of Tri in the Olympics, presented a statement reported that infections correspond to their delegation.
The news was released just one day after the detection of the first positive case of a member of a foreign delegation inside the residential complex, located on the artificial islands of Tokyo.
With these infections it rises to 10 cases reported among the participants of the Olympics , the others affected are not housed in the Olympic Village.

Of the others 13 Tokyo-related cases 2020 As of July 1, 4 are “personnel connected to the Games”, 7 are contractors and two are members of the foreign press.

The organizers stated that the last three infections correspond to members of the same delegation , and that they came together in the same team.
At least 55 Covid cases – 19 linked to the Olympic Games Tokyo have been reported by the authorities since last July 1.
