There was no homophobic cry from the Mexican fans in the game against Guatemala

The Mexican fans seem to have learned, perhaps the hard way, the lesson after not singing the famous homophobic cry that led to the national team punishments and threats of being excluded from the next World Cup in Qatar 2022, therefore, in the Gold Cup match that Mexico and Guatemala played, the song was not heard.

It must be remembered that previously, in the match between Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago was an embarrassing moment, because the match was suspended twice later that the Mexican fans shouted the homophobic insult with one voice.

However, the fans maintained respect at all times and behaved accordingly of the national team by not pronouncing the popular, but controversial cry that has brought negative consequences to the ‘Tri’.

The meeting had moments of ups and downs for the eleventh tricolor, especially in the first 20 minutes where Guatemala looked better than Mexico. Despite the situation, the Mexican fans remained serene and watched the game without insulting the rivals.

Later, when the first score fell by part of Funes Mori , happiness was felt in the stands and respect always prevailed during the sports party.
