A alligator visited a church in Florida where he was received by the parishioners and the pastor even offered him a church card.

The Photos and video posted on Facebook by Victory Church in Lehigh Acres , show the small alligator wandering the grounds of the house of worship and approaching the door on one occasion.

Daniel Gregory, the senior pastor of the church ,

took a video while getting closer to the reptile and offered him a business card.

“We have services at 9 am and the 11 am on Sunday mornings, ”Gregory says in the video. “You want to see us?”

Gregory said he saw the visit unusual as an opportunity to have fun.

“He came to our church. I don’t know what their spiritual condition is, ”Gregory said to WBBH-TV . “I want to invite this alligator to church.”

Gregory said the alligator went down a storm drain when he tried to baptize it.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said that people shouldn’t try to get as close to alligators as Gregory did in the video.

“We certainly encourage visuals, but we never want you to get close to a wild animal like that. It can be very dangerous, ”said FWC official Adam Brown. “There is no reason to risk it.”
