Between 12 and the 14 August, the millionth Tacoma produced by Toyota could find an owner at the event organized by Mecum Auctions , the auction house that will bring this unique specimen to Monterey, California. The truck is an Army Green TRD Pro model with some features that elevate its off-road power: specially tuned Fox shocks, Rigid Industries LED lights with anti-fog capability, inches and strategically placed shield plates, to protect the bodywork and underside of the vehicle. As for the powertrain, this valuable specimen has a 3.5-liter V6 engine, with a power of horsepower controlled by a six-speed automatic transmission.

Although it has characteristics common to other examples on the market, the true value of this truck is historical, since it represents part of the legacy of Toyota , specifically from its factory in San Antonio, Texas, where it was already assembled on 4 October of 2019. For the brand, having reached this number in its Tacoma model implies a great effort rewarded with the preference of the American public, a public that has been faithful to this truck brought to the country, for the first time, in 1995.

According to some media such as Car and Driver, the final bid could be a high sum. Due to its historical value, the brand could be a participant in this auction , whose interest would be mainly represented by fans of this vehicle, followed by Toyota fans and extended, perhaps, to some collectors who more than put it to use , wish to preserve this item for the future.

Recently, the brand launched its Tacoma 2022 in two versions: a Trail Edition double cab and 4 × 4 package and a TRD Pro , which would be the most recent update to be auctioned.
