In addition, Abbott established the first Texas State Border Security Force, which will include several state agencies, including the Office of the Attorney General , and the statewide prison system.
It also authorized a section of the state budget, recently approved by the legislature, that provides $ 1 billion for the security of border. A quarter of these funds will be used to continue the construction of the border wall, flagship plan of the Donald Trump Administration (2017 – 2021) .
