The victim was taken to a hospital and according to a report from Sheriff Ed González the woman is in stable condition.

The four children were at home when the shooting occurred, none of the children were injured.

Officers reported that the couple had already been divorced more than a year ago.

Investigators say that Wright anticipated that he would lose custody of his children at the hearing that was scheduled this same Monday. It was not the first time that the Police had come to the residence for reports of domestic violence, on at least two previous occasions officers were called to intervene between Wright and his ex-wife.

Surveillance video captured by neighbor cameras shows Wright and his girlfriend at the scene walking toward the house and shortly after they appear running down the street. It has not been revealed if the bride was also arrested.
