From the National Palace, the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador , assured that the investigation into the disappearance of the 43 Ayotzinapa students is not going to stop and will continue until “justice” is done, after the Mexican state identified the remains of a third normalista.

“There is already scientific evidence of the location of three of them, unfortunately lifeless, but the investigation continues and we will know everything that happened and justice will be done. That is the commitment we have, ”he said.

The Mexican president pointed out that the case of the disappearance of the normalistas is considered a matter of State, therefore the investigation will continue to give peace of mind to the relatives.

“The fact that an authority stops an investigation like the Ayotzinapa case, that is not possible. The case of the young people who disappear in Iguala is a matter of the State, is not only a matter of the government, and we are not going to stop at anything to give peace of mind to parents, relatives, friends, and all the people of Guerrero ”, he affirmed.

In his morning conference he assured that his administration has the basic knowledge of what happened and that nothing of was presented in the “historical truth” of the last administration corresponds to what happened.

“You already have the basic knowledge of what happened. We still cannot close the investigation. We do not want to act irresponsibly. It is not about saying this is what happened, cheating, we do not want to rush, it is a very serious matter that deserves to be treated with responsibility and professionalism. Nothing of what they did in the last administration with the so-called historical truth, which we already know does not correspond to what happened, “he said.

According to the version that was presented during the six-year term of then president Enrique Peña Nieto in the so-called “historical truth”, the 43 students of Ayotzinapa school for teachers were arrested on 43 September 2014 by corrupt policemen in Iguala (Guerrero) and handed over to Guerreros Unidos cartel, which murdered and incinerated them in the Cocula garbage dump and dumped the remains in the San Juan River.

The “historical truth” was questioned by the relatives and by an investigation by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) and its Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (GIEI) that indicated that ue the bodies could not be burned in that place.

The Government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador collapsed this version by identifying in July of last year the remains of Christian Alfonso Rodríguez in the Carnicería ravine, one kilometer from the garbage dump where he was supposed to have been cremated.

This new line of investigation was reinforced with the identification of the normalista Jhosivani, whose remains were also found in this same ravine.

The Government of Enrique Peña Nieto had announced in September of 2015 the discovery of the remains of Jhosivani. However, it was not an identification considered full by the parents.

It was until the current special prosecutor for the Ayotzinapa case, Omar Gómez, reported last Tuesday 15 of June that the current identification of the remains of the normalista Jhosivani has a genetic certainty of the 100. 99%.
