Police: Woman says her husband fell on a knife; Investigators say she killed him in Houston

HOUSTON – The version that a woman gave to the police about the death of her husband did not add up and when investigating more deeply determined that he was lying.

The authorities reported that a woman, 39, was accused of the murder of her husband in a hotel room west of the city.

According to investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Letoia Steward stabbed her husband following an incident at the Hometown Studios hotel, located on the 2130 block of the highway. SH 6.

The woman argued to the authorities that her husband had died after falling to the floor on a knife he had in the middle of a dispute.

The woman was taken to the police headquarters in the center where she was interrogated.

However, her version did not convince the investigators who charged homicide before the Court 248 Harris County Criminal.
