“Today was a lesson in humility”: Hamilton accepts mistake in Azerbaijan GP

The Mercedes team driver and seven times Formula 1 champion, Lewis Hamilton , than a small error ended up costing him the Azerbaijan Grand Prix , disputed this Sunday.

Through a post on Twitter, the British wrote, “today was a humbling experience. We are working very hard to get back into the top difficult here in Baku. Today we gave it our all and a small mistake caused the brakes to come off. Sorry for the team, we will come back stronger for the next race. ”

For the first time since 2017, with what happened in Monaco and Azerbaijan, Hamilton adds two great prizes without winning consecutively.

The podium in Azerbaijan went to the Mexican Sergio “Checo” Pérez , then with five laps remaining in the race his Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen had an accident, and everything was resolved with a re-exit.

The ranking continues to be led by Verstappen with 105 points , followed by Hamilton with 101 and in third place Checo Pérez with 69 .
