It is worth noting that it was the first game played by the Argentine National Team after the death of Maradona .

With that outfit they sang the anthem of their country and posed for the cameras as part of the tribute where a statue of Diego was also unveiled.

The Albiceleste group did the honors knowing that would receive a sanction from the International Federation of Associated Football (FIFA) , which is quite rigorous with respect to the intervention of the clothing.

However, little time later the same regulatory entity reported that there would be no penalty for honoring the memory of the historic 10 Argentine.

After FIFA learned of the tribute, the same president of the Gianni Infantino organization would have affirmed, “Diego is Diego, the regulation does not matter”, according to Argentine media.
