Texas Land Commissioner, George P. Bush , son of the former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush and grandson and nephew of the two Bush presidents, announced Wednesday that he will challenge Current Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton,
in the elections of 2022.

Bush, from 45 years, he is the last member of his family to still hold public office and his candidacy will test the political strength of the Bush dynasty.

Trump Support
Bush notably broke up with other prominent members of his family in 2016 when he publicly supported the former president Donald Trump .
And in the video of his campaign, he does not refer to his family, but pays tribute to Donald Trump .
During the process of the primaries of 2016, Trump relentlessly mocked Bush’s father, the former Florida governor J eb Bush , considering it “low energy” . During a visit to Texas in April of 2019, Trump said that George P. Bush was “the only Bush who got it right.”

Last week, Bush tweeted a photo of himself talking on the phone with Trump and added: “I appreciate the words of encouragement and support ”.

Trump said in a statement last week that he likes both candidates and that he would make a recommendation “in the not too distant future”.
