Peru doubles deaths from COVID-19 after a revision of figures and becomes the country with the highest per capita mortality rate in the world


The Peruvian authorities determined that there was an underestimation of deaths from coronavirus, which has more than doubled the death toll from the disease.

Covid deaths – 19 in Peru are more twice as many as counted so far.

Authorities reported this Monday that in the South American country have died more than 180. 000 people by coronavirus, which is 2.5 times more than the figure that was had of almost 70. 000.
