Cruz Azul will face León in Los Angeles for the champions trophy on July 18
After breaking drought of 23 years without titles league with the conquest of the Guard1anes Tournament 2020 , Cruz Azul already has a date to play another title: that of champion of champions, in which the best team of the season is determined 2020 / 21 between the winner of the Apertura and Clausura.
The match against the champion of the Opening, the Club León , the 18 July in Los Angeles. The Mexican Soccer Federation announced that the match to determine the best team of the season 2020 / 23 will be held at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles.

The end of the curse
Led by the Peruvian Juan Reynoso, the Blues lived this Sunday one of the most exciting days in their history of almost a century by drawing 1-1 with Santos Laguna and winning by 2-1 the final of the Clausura , his ninth star, but just the first after 23 years and a half of drought.

León will seek his sixth title of champion of champions and Cruz Blue the third, after having won it in the seasons 1968 – 1969 Y 1973 – 1973.
Besides being the last two monarchs, Cruz Azul and León have been the best soccer teams in Mexico in the last two years and they are expected to offer a good game in July, even though they will play it before the start of the Apertura 2021, when the football players are not yet in their best form.
