The Democratic representative Norma Torres (California) accused that she and her family have been victims of attacks and threats by supporters of the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele .

“They came here near my house, when crossing the street, it seemed they were gang members, calling my husband, doing this to them (cut off head sign ) ”, said Torres to Telemundo. “They come directly from him, those who support President Nayib Bukele.”

Torres even said that the attacks against him have escalated since his confrontation on Twitter with the Central American president , who would have unleashed “his trolls” to harass her.

“His army of trolls when he pushed them to start attacking me” , he pointed . “If you dare to come to my house, I will defend myself and I will defend my family as well.”

The report of journalist Javier Vega, correspondent for Telemundo In Washington, DC, she takes up the discussion that Torres and Nayib had on Twitter, after she referred to corruption in the countries of the Northern Triangle, a problem that has led to more irregular migration, as happened at the beginning of this year.

“President @nayibbukele – I’ll leave it alone. This is the result of narcissistic dictators more interested in their own benefit … send me new glasses, I want to look at the sufficiency of the people in their eyes, “Torres told a Bukele upset by the case of some migrant children who came from Ecuador.

However, in his response to the Central American president, Torres shared the photo of the boy and his father from El Salvador who drowned while trying to cross the border in June 2019.

Press. @ nayibbukele – I’ll make it clearer. This is a result of narcissistic dictators like you interested in being “cool” while people flee by the 1000 s & die by the 100 s.

Send me a pair of glasses so I may see the suffering of your people through your eyes. https://t.co/eBCahxNzmM pic.twitter.com/F4O173 fYcZ

The allegations of corruption in Central America are not only towards El Salvador, since a report from Congress listed several officials, included Carolina Recinos, Chief of Staff of Bukele and Rogelio Rivas, his former security minister , as figures of concern for corruption or organized crime.
