TEXAS – Several controversial bills have reached the desk of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and one more is on the way and everything indicates that the president is on the verge of eliminating one of his latest gun restrictions. after lawmakers approved Monday allowing people to carry guns without a license, without the background check and without accompanying training.

The Legislature The overwhelmingly Republican-dominated measure approved the measure and sent it to Abbott, who has said it will sign it over objections from law enforcement groups who say it would endanger the public and police.

Texas counts with some of the most flexible gun laws in the country and has more than 1.6 million firearm license holders.

Supporters of the bill say that would allow Texans s better advocate in public while abolishing unnecessary impediments to the constitutional right to bear arms.

Once signed into law, Texas will join nearly two dozen other states that allow some form of unregulated carrying of a firearm.

However, Texas is the most populous of them all.

Texas already allows rifles to be carried in public without a license. The measure sent to Abbott would allow anyone over years carry a pistol as long as he does not have a criminal record for violent crimes or some other legal prohibition.

The quasi-law would not prevent companies from banning guns on their property and federal background checks would be maintained for some gun purchases. Texas has no state restrictions on private gun sales.

Texas has allowed people to carry firearms since 1995 and has been reducing the cost and training requirements to obtain a license for the past decade.
