Giants summoned: the NBA, Juan Toscano commands Mexico's list for the Tokyo Pre-Olympic

The Mexican Basketball Sports Association ratified Omar Quintero as coach. The organization released a preliminary list of 30 players. Preparation will start on 30 in order to get the ticket to the Olympic Games

After the FIBA  will lift the sanction to the Mexican Basketball Sports Association (ADEMEBA) , the Mexican organization got to work to begin participating in international tournaments. In this sense, the organization began to prepare for the next Pre-Olympic . Omar Quintero was ratified as coach and the NBA , Juan Toscano , will be one of the warriors which will try to find the quota at Tokyo Olympics 2020 .

The association did not wait long to get down to work. Yesterday it was known that the former Mexican player, Omar Quintero , will lead the talented “giants ”In the next Pre-Olympic of June .

The coach did not hide his excitement when he heard the decision of the basketball association. “ I am very grateful for this new opportunity to be the coach of the Mexican men’s basketball team (…) People who know me know that I am passionate about basketball and our country . For me as a Mexican coach it is a privilege to be part of this work group, where the players are the most important ”, he highlighted.

The coach of 39 year-old released a preliminary list of players who could represent the team in the closest tournament. Enter the list of 30 players highlights the forward of Golden State Warriors , Juan Toscano-Anderson .

The director of ADEMEBA, Modesto Robledo , commented that he is doing the procedures and conversations with FIBA, so that basketball players such as Juan Toscano, Luke Martínez and Daniel Amigo do not occupy a square of “j naturalized player ”within the selection.

“We are already working because there are four players on the list that we have to do a management to move to ro Mexican ster (…) they have the years to be counted as Mexicans and we are making arrangements with FIBA  ”, Revealed Robledo.

Finally the Mexican team will begin its preparation and concentration process on next 39 in Mexico City . Four preparation games are expected to take place in Europe before the election of the 12 Mexicans who will represent the national team in the Pre-Olympic in Split , Croatia . In the tournament, Mexico will face Russia and Germany .
