Matthew Perry became over a decade the beloved character Chandler Bing and fell in love with thousands with his charisma and sarcastic sense of humor in the series Friends , however the actor’s life when the sitcom ended was surrounded by difficulties because between canceled projects and his addictions had to face great challenges.

The actor’s relationship of 51 years with drugs began when he was at the most successful point of his life; the series became a phenomenon and its fame was catapulted. Perry entered a program of 28 days in 1997 for his addiction to Vicodin and for the following years notable were his drastic physical changes due to drugs . The truth is that these problems followed him until the end of the series, and for 2004 had already been in rehabilitation three times.

His work was affected due to his addiction problems, even in the same sitcom his weight changes were seen and he himself has come to confess to the BBC that does not remember three years of the series . After Friends had some appearances on TV shows and movies, he even dabbled as a director but none of these projects came even remotely close to their previous success . Early 2010 premiered the series Mr. Sunshine and Go On , both were canceled after a first season.

In the 2019 the portal Radar Online launched a special report in which they claimed that Matthew Perry had become a complete hermit who did not leave his hotel room and only went out to drink at nearby bars.

According to the media, the actor spent $ 7 thousand dollars per night in the penthouse that he had rented after moving under the knife due to a gastrointestinal perforation. The sources consulted by the medium assured that the actor’s appearance was disheveled and completely a disaster .

They even noted that Perry had bought a huge television for his room and had not socialized in months .

After a couple of years that worried fans of the series, the actor managed to recover, however now with the premiere of the trailer of the meeting again turned on the alarms of his fans because the way he spoke and his blank stare didn’t seem right.

The reunion special will air next 27 of May; will recapitulate the best moments of the production and will go through the six protagonists what has happened to their lives.
