Maryland Launches Lottery for Vaccinated Residents, With $ 400,000 Top Prize

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan launched a $ 2 million dollar lottery that will award dozens of cash prizes of $ 40, 000 dollars to residents state who have received coronavirus vaccines , along with a grand prize of $ 400, 000.

In association with the Maryland Lottery and the state health department, residents who are vaccinated will be eligible for a prize of $ 40, 000 dollars.

The promotion of the lottery to promote COVID vaccination – 19 is called VaxCash and will award cash prizes to a total of 41 Maryland residents who have been vaccinated.

The random selections of the winners of this lottery will be daily and will be made between 25 May and July 3. Each day from 25 through July 3, a winner will be randomly selected to win a prize of $ 40, 000 dollars.

Hogan said in a statement that a final drawing will be held on July 4, where a state resident could receive a prize of $ 400, 000 dollars.

Hogan said his administration has been talking about the new incentive for some time. “Promotions like this are just one more way we are reinforcing the importance of vaccinating as many residents as we can against COVID – 19, ”Hogan said.

To be eligible, the governor said you must be a Maryland resident of 18 years or more received or will receive the COVID vaccine – 19 in Maryland , and you automatically enter to win.

Only one shot of COVID vaccine is needed – 19 is needed to be eligible.
