Prince William , of 38 years, has taken the opportunity to pay tribute to all staff participating in the coronavirus vaccination campaign in the United Kingdom, at the same time that has shared a photograph of him that has served to reveal that he received the first dose of the vaccine earlier this week.

“On Tuesday I received my first dose of the Covid vaccine – 19. To all who work on the deployment of the vaccine: thank you for all you have done and continue to do, “wrote the heir to the British throne on the Instagram account he shares with his wife Kate Middleton , Duchess of Cambridge. His grandparents – Queen Elizabeth II and the late Duke of Edinburgh – were vaccinated in January, and his father, Prince Charles, and his stepmother, the Duchess of Cornwall, did so in February.

William contracted the disease in April of 2020 , and although it “affected him a lot” and “it was difficult for him to breathe” in some moments, he did not want to publicize his health problems because considered that “more important things” were happening in the country that he did not want to steal attention from.
