HOUSTON – A Hispanic family in search of revenge ended up taking the life of an innocent person in what appears to be a tragic case of mistaken identity, according to authorities.
Harris County Sheriff, Ed Gonzalez, reported that four members of a Hispanic Katy family they were charged with a homicide in a case of apparent mistaken identity . Katy is part of the greater Houston area and is located about 20 miles west of downtown.
According to the Police report, the incident was recorded this Tuesday morning near a neighborhood located in northwest Harris County.
González said that “it appears to be a tragic case of mistaken identity,” since the victim, who was driving a dark gray Dodge Charger car would have been mistaken for another person with whom this family had problems, but who drove the car of the same brand, but black.

The victim was identified as Eddie Clark, from 29 years.
Investigators at the scene said the victim received shot in the abdomen while driving the car down the block 17101 Hilton Hollow Drive. According to the authorities, Joe Argueta, from 18 years; his mother Florinda Argueta, from 39 years, Luis Argueta, from 45 years; and Margarito Alcantar ambushed Gray and shot him.
What the defendants did not know is that the vehicle did not belong to the person they were waiting for and with whom -according to testimony. who were at the scene – they accused of having shot at his house and of having punctured the tires of the family vehicle on about seven occasions.
Clark, after being shot crashed into a tree and managed to get out of the car to try to flee, but collapsed shortly after due to the severity of the injuries.
Joe Argueta was detained by the authorities, while that his father and mother, Luis and Florinda, are fugitives like Margarito Alcantar.
All four face murder charges.
González’s office is asking the community for information to find the whereabouts of the three fugitive suspects.
