Two dead and several injured after two shootings against a party bus in Oakland

Two women were killed and several people were injured in an attack on a bus Tuesday morning celebrating a birthday in Oakland, the Alameda County Coroner’s Office said.

The authorities did not immediately identify the fatalities. It has transpired that they were on board the party bus when at 04: 54 at dawn someone shot them from outside in their path by Interstate Highway 580 , near the MacArthur Boulevard exit. KTVU publishes this information and quotes the photographer of the event, who would be in charge of speaking with relatives of the victims and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirms it in a statement.

At least one A person opened fire on the bus and then followed it through the city streets , as reported by the authorities. A second shooting took place near the avenue 68 and Foothill Boulevard, said CHP . The state agency specified that the bus had received multiple gunshot wounds .

It was then that, according to the authorities, two died people for the wounds caused by the shots . The victims were taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland for medical treatment.

KTVU published that they had seen how some ambulances transported several victims from the Eastmont police station to the hospital for treatment.

For its part, the bus shot also ended in the station with several of its windows riddled with bullets . The aforementioned medium indicates that, around 7 o’clock: 30 in the morning they saw investigators and teams covering the broken windows with a yellow tarp, as can be seen in the images above.

On the morning of this Tuesday, the detectives still had no information regarding the suspect. CHP said it is conducting the investigation with the help of the Oakland Police Department.

The state agency notes that the preliminary investigation indicates that does not seem to be a random accident but at the press conference Tuesday morning did not clarify how many people were traveling on the bus or how many were injured . Agent Edward Vega said that according to his information, only one person had died, despite the fact that CHP posted on Facebook that the fatalities were two.

Another agent, Art Montiel, added that “everything was under investigation”, including the description of the suspect and the places of origin and destination of the bus.
