Trial against 3 former police officers accused along with Derek Chauvin in the George Floyd case postponed

The attorneys for Lane, Kueng and Thao have said they want the court to require prosecutors to submit affidavits that they are not responsible for the media leak. In a presentation Wednesday night, Hennepin was coerced into including “neck compression” in his findings,

Chauvin, who was seen in a video of onlookers pressing his knee against the neck of Floyd when the African American man said he couldn’t breathe, was convicted in April of unintentional murder in the second degree, murder in the third degree and manslaughter. He will be sentenced on 25 June.

The three former officers waived their right to appear at Thursday’s hearing. His trial was separated from that of Chauvin to comply with space restrictions for COVID – in the courtroom.
